Hospital Nurse Recognized Among Great 100

Carteret General Hospital’s Sonda Warrington, RN of Beaufort has been named among North Carolina’s Great 100 Nurses for 2005. Ms. Warrington is CGH’s Director of Outpatient Services responsible for the operations of the RAAB Oncology Clinic and oversight of Home Health and Hospice. Nominated by nursing peers and department leaders, the final candidates are then screened by a professional standards committee before being named to the prestigious list.

“We are very proud of Sonda and her receiving this exceptional honor,” says Edwin Loftin, RN and Vice President of Patient Care Services at Carteret General. “Sonda provides outstanding care for patients and is an inspiration to all of us at Carteret General. To have her included on this year’s Great 100 Nurses list speaks very well for the quality and dedication represented throughout our entire nursing staff.”

Mrs. Warrington along with other recipients was honored at a black-tie gala on September 24th.
