Gastroenterology
Gastroenterology services are provided at Carteret Medical Group (CMG). The department is directed by Dr. John Baillie and provides patients with a convenient option for their consultation regarding gastrointestinal disorders. Dr. Baillie has a particular interest and expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including ERCP, and in biliary and pancreatic disorders. Treatment and services also include colonoscopy, esophageal and enteric stents and treatment for diseases of the esophagus, stomach, intestines/colon, pancreas and liver.
Dr. Baillie joins our staff following many years of services on the faculty of NC Baptist Hospital as Professor of Medicine and on staff at Duke University Medical Center. He has been recognized as a recipient of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Master Endoscopist and the Distinguished Educator Award. Dr. Baillie was also recently listed in the “Best Doctors in America” peer survey.
Carteret Medical Group was created as a result of the growing need for additional specialty services available on an outpatient basis in our area. The convenient, state-of-the art facility is equipped with industry-leading technology and information systems, including Connect(x) HealthWare’s Chart(x) electronic health record system. Neurology services are also available.
