Inpatient Direct Patient Care
Critical Care Unit - CCU
The Critical Care Unit is located on the fourth floor. Each of the eight private rooms are equipped with a monitoring unit capable of monitoring the heart rhythm, pressures inside the heart, and other vital signs. The nursing staff is specially trained to care for patients with illnesses such as heart attacks, lung diseases, near drowning, traumatic accidents, and serious surgeries.
Visiting hours are limited depending on the patient's condition, but the nurse is available to family members to provide updates on a patient's condition or to assist them in finding any other information they may need.

Progressive Care Unit - PCU
The 18-bed Progressive Care Unit on the fourth floor is a step
down unit of the Critical Care Unit. The primary focus of this unit
is cardiac and respiratory care, however patients are placed on
this unit as the physician deems necessary. There are 16 telemetry or cardiac
monitors available for close cardiac monitoring.
The nurses that
work on PCU have specialized skills that include advanced cardiac
and respiratory assessment skills, cardiac rhythm interpretation,
and the monitoring of cardiogenic drug interaction.

Surgical Nursing Unit
The 22-bed Surgery Unit is located on the second floor, where
the majority of the patients come to the hospital to be admitted on
the morning of their surgery.
Patients return from the Operating
Room and PACU (Recovery Room) to the Surgery Unit where they remain
until discharge. The staff monitor patients closely and instruct
patients on the disease processes and how to care for themselves
when they return home.
2nd & 3rd Medical
These medical units are located on the 2nd and 3rd
floor each having the capacity of holding 32 patients. Each medical unit
accepts patients 18 years of age or older with a variety of medical conditions
including but not limited to complications of diabetes, chronic respiratory
and cardiac disease, pneumonia, and circulatory disorders.
Patients are admitted from the hospital Emergency department,
nursing homes, or direct admit from offices of the active medical staff.
The nursing staff on this unit has a variety of nursing experience that
provides a team approach to provide excellence in patient care.

Pediatrics
The Pediatric Unit offers services to patients 18 years of age and under. Pediatricians and nursing staff evaluate health needs, treat medical and surgical illnesses, provide education to patients and families, and assist with resources for home care as part of discharge planning. The pediatric nurses in this unit are dedicated to patient education and involvement in outreach programs that reach our pediatric population. The nurses of this unit offer a Safe Sitters program on a quaterly basis to and promote enhanced skills related to safety, care of children and, basic first aid.
